The Origami console draws its inspiration from the namesake ancient Oriental art. “I have always been drawn to the manual craftsmanship of our traditional artisans and to that sophisticated and subtle art of origami,” explains the designer, Gino Carollo. The base, made in painted metal or in the refined burnished or copper-bronze finish, in fact consists of bent thin metal sheets, with the aim of making the frame stable and achieving the utmost visual lightness, almost as if it were challenging gravity.
